Ongoing Support
Purchasing a goat is often the beginning of a relationship rather than the end of a transaction.
Whether you are a first-time goat owner or an experienced breeder, we are happy to share our experiences and help buyers succeed with their animals. The success of the goats we breed reflects the work we put into our breeding program and the homes they go to.
Performance-Based Breeding
We don't make breeding decisions based solely on pedigree names or marketing claims.
Our does are milk tested after kidding, allowing us to collect real production data and assess udder quality, attachment, teat placement, butterfat, protein levels, and overall dairy performance. This information helps us make informed breeding decisions and allows buyers to see measurable results rather than relying on assumptions.
We place significant emphasis on the quality of our breeding bucks.
Buck kids are not retained or sold as breeding animals simply because they are male. We evaluate maternal performance, milk production, udder quality, and family history when making breeding decisions. Male offspring from does that do not meet our breeding objectives are generally wethered rather than sold as breeding stock.
Our goal is to ensure that only the strongest genetics contribute to future generations.
We take herd health seriously.
Our management practices include disease awareness, biosecurity planning, livestock identification, and responsible herd management. We believe prevention is always preferable to treatment and aim to provide healthy animals that have been raised in a well-managed environment.
All of our goats are permanently identified through tattooing, and livestock identification requirements are followed in accordance with current regulations.
We maintain detailed records and can provide buyers with information about an animal's pedigree, production history, and family background where available.
We believe buyers deserve honest information.
If we have production figures, milk testing results, health information, or management records available, we are happy to discuss them. We would rather have informed buyers who understand what they are purchasing than rely on exaggerated claims or unrealistic expectations.
Treechangers Park is built on a passion for livestock, property management, and continuous improvement. We are constantly learning, recording data, refining our breeding program, and sharing our experiences so that others can benefit from what we have learned along the way.
When you purchase a goat from Treechangers Park, you are purchasing from a breeder who values performance, transparency, responsible management, and the long-term improvement of the Nigerian Dwarf breed.
Choosing a breeder is about more than finding a goat that looks nice in a photo. The decisions made by a breeder long before a kid is born can have a significant impact on the health, productivity, temperament, and long-term success of the animals they produce.
At Treechangers Park, we are committed to breeding Nigerian Dwarf goats with a focus on Conformation, Dairy performance and Temperament.
At Treechangers Park, our goats are not simply left in a paddock with a buck and sold when kids arrive. Every animal is the result of careful breeding decisions, milk testing, udder assessments, record keeping, health management, identification, and ongoing evaluation of our herd. We invest significant time, effort, and resources into producing quality Nigerian Dwarf goats, and our pricing reflects that commitment.
As the saying goes, "Price is what you pay; value is what you take home." We believe the true value of a goat lies not just in the animal itself, but in the genetics, performance data, breeder support, and years of selective breeding behind it.
